Neighborhood Group Meetings 2008

   
 

NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS
Chapter members may attend any or all neighborhood groups, and are encouraged to bring finished sewing projects the monthly meetings for show and tell. If you are planning to attend a different NG than your usual one, it is advisable to call ahead or check the website for possible updates, and to verify the meeting and location. A NG may take a field trip or make a date change due to weather or other conflicts.

   
 


First Thursday  NG  (pink name tags)

Night Stitchers NG  (navy/stars name tags)
 

Meets third Monday of the month (except holidays)
7 – 9 pm at Pacific Fabrics in Bremerton.

June 16: Bring your favorite sewing notion and show us how you use it, or bring your least” favorite notion and tell “why you don’t like it”.

July 21:  Christmas in July, bring quick ideas for Holiday gifts or decorating.  This may be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years

August 18:  Annual Doll Fashion Show. Bring items to be donated for the Annual Doll Wardrobe Raffle, bring doll also to model the garments.


 

Creative Threads NG  (orange name tags)
 

Meets second Wednesday of the month at 10 am at Sound Sewing, QFC Plaza in Sequim. NG

June 11: Part I - Doll Raffle Pattern Share/Swap  Bring yoru 18: doll patterns to copy or borrow plus materials and notions to get a head start on cutting out those doll clotes!  10am to 12-ish.  Sewing Workshop continues August 13.  Lunch at local eatery.

July: No monthly meeting... hop to see you all at the ASG Picnic hosted by Anna Bowers at her home in Sequim on July 12.  Bring Potluck to share.

August 13: Part II - Doll Clothes Sewing Workshop.  10am to 3-ish.  Please precut patterns prior to meeting, bring sewing machine and notions to sew up those doll clothes. Also, bring a sack lunch.

 Rosalie Preble is teaching fitting to this group this year. The group will be working on fitting and cutting our patterns that we've chosen to make.  This group is an ongoing fitting group

 Fun with Discharge!  We will be un-dying fabric and playing with discharge paste, bleach pens, Scrub Free and Bleach Spray

August 1: Name tags holders.  Bring your sewing machine and be prepared to demonstrate some of your favorite decorative stitches.
